Definition Calendar year Calendar month Date of data collection in format: YYYY-MM-DD Short name of SBCLTER Group responsible for collecting, processing, and reporting sample. Data category of process by which sample was collected. Physical location of field data location. Specific location within a site where sample was collected.Please contact data package Point of Contact for specific variable attributes. Water depth of sample collection. Consecutive sample number. Each sample sent to the UCSB Analytical Lab for analysis is assigned a consectutive number for ease in sample tracking and handling. Number of individual samples combined to create the composite sample used for analysis. Number of replicate samples collected from a sample location. Two to four letter species codes generally representing the first two letters of the genus name and the first two letters of the species name (format=GS, GSx, or GGSS where x represents size categories of L=large (typically greater that 25mm) or S=small (typically less than 25mm)) of the species represented. Genus name of species collected for sample. Tissue collected from each species used for analysis. Description of the physical status of the sample when collected in the field. Mean nitrogen percent by weight value for the tissue sample. Note the value D15N is an average of two replicate analysis of the same sample. Instances where the replicate sample analysis values differ by greater than 0.5% are noted in the NOTES column. Mean carbon percent by weight value for the tissue sample. Note the value D13C is an average of two replicate analysis of the same sample. Instances where the replicate sample analysis values differ by greater than 0.5% are noted in the NOTES column.
